Now the shop works - and the next two sets for the Franco-Prussian war.

After hours of working through the non existing support, I was able to find a solution n the shop.

I've changed the colour of the backround and now everything could be read.

The only thing is now to show the real news on the first page. With all articles new in a new shop, the system doesn't know what to show. As my son said, most problems with a computer are between the screen and the stool....

What I need your is your support (orders) to cover all the costs and pay for the next masters:-)

You can help me here :-)

Here our third set of Prussian infantry and also a new set of French line infantry for the Franco-Prussian war. A  step to the next diorama project of the battle of Wörth.

Prussian firing line 1866-1870

Massimo sent me some nice photo. A friend of him created this little diorama. It reminds me on the Prussian Guards at Königgrätz 1866.

On the other hand - with this backround it looks like a last stand:-)

Black Watch Miniatures goes online

Dear Hobbyfriends,

as I wrote some weeks ago, together with my two friends Massimo and Patrick I wanted to open a new online shop.

After several weeks of many difficulties with the technic and much help from my 13 year old son (I am too old for this) finally the time has come to go online. Some small optical changes have still to be made, but it works:-)

Here is our new shop:

https://www.black-watch-miniatures.de/

Check the button "about us" on the right upper side and you see the story behind.

In this new shop we offer only figures, sculpted by Massimo Costa - and only figures, made by Massimo.

Many sets you may have seen before from Hagen-Miniatures, GIM and Massimo's own 42nd Blackwatch range.

Now we threw together all these sets, corrected some old figures and already worked on new sets. Some of which I have already shown on the blog.

We will expand and complete existing ranges we started in the past. For example after the Napoleonic Spanish horse artillery (shich is now on sale) the next set will be Spanish Line infantry in campaign dress.

Also a third set of Prussian infantry 1864-1870 is in the making.

Some older sets are missing in the first days, as we have to check them, maybe Massimo has to make some corrections and we need new molds.

All the figures are comming in boxes like this.

For our US Hobbyfriends, we made a deal with our hobbyfriend George, who will offer the complete range in your country very soon.

And their will also remain Hagen Miniatures. Here we offer figures from sculptors like Frank Ziegler, Leonid, Robert, etc. etc. And of course the "Hagen-Idea" of making your own figures.

If you would like to have a special figure, range, army, simply contact Andy at Hagen and we will produce what you want.

Ok, that is enought text now - if you are interested check the link and enjoy the figures:-)

Working on our new project - Medway 43 AD

I think today is the weekend, when the next Dioramca was planned to happen. We wanted to meet before in the summer to organize the project we had in mind.

Now we hope to put the diorama on show when things become normal again.

My idea is to create a diorama for the battle of the Medway River 43AD. Not from the historical sources, but after the description from the battle in Simon Scarrows battle. At least so nobody can tell me, what historical mistakes I made😅

So far we have over 6000 painted figures done, but can't glue them on bases before we have a solution for the space we get. My big dream is to show three Roman legions in 1:1 scale. The main eyecatcher will be the river itself with the Romans fording it, some ships giving covering fire etc. etc.

Now I want to show you some photos of figures we will use - or better said, a 15 year od diorama from the time, before I had children and had my own hobby-room.

The campaign of Germanicus in Germany 14-16 AD

Stephan created another interesting diorama. The Romans found the battlefield of Teutobug Forest. You see how you could use Fantasy figures even in hostorical dioarmas:-)
