Just one post on the blog and Alfred told me I am not up to date, the knights are already in production:-)
So you see the diorama is going forward. And these guys are easier to paint (spray) in their metal gear:-)
We are a group of Enthusiasts from all over the world, mostly Germany, who create historical battles in scale 1:72. As we do this since more than 10 years we thought it is time for our own blog. Being a historical enthusiast I wanted to fulfill my dream of producing my own figures in this scale too. So I started working with several sculptors to produce exotic figures in 1:72 which I fear nobody else would bring on the market.

More of Alfred's conversions for Poitiers
Especially the huge blade is impressing:-) I am wondering how his fingers survived...
So it seems we have passed the 1000 mark on English archers in the meantime. So the next focus will go on hundreds of battling knights.

Good to have such friends
On Sunday is my birthday. And today I sat at my sofa, working at the home-office.
It ringed on the door and the postman gave me a parcel from Massimo. I thought "what a mess, he should have sent it to Andy for mouldmaking".
When I opened it I was speechless. On top of the parcel lay a letter "Happy Birthday, this is a gift from your friend Pieter (and from him too I guess).
Bavarian dragoons skirmishing. He even took one of them from my Google-Icon
As I said, good to have friends:-) I am sure these guys will find some more comrades to fight the Austrians in 1805 and 1809 - as wall as Tirolean insurgents I have in mind for a long time.

Early Bronce age Fortress
In September 2012 when I visited the "Inspiration Modellbau" and put our Borodino-Diorama on show I met a guy who had an intersting idea. He created a very early bronze age celtic fortress with two fictional armies.
I liked the idea and his skills and so made a series of photos from it. Nice conversions too.
At last the description in German

New figures for our Siege of Vienna range
After the Polish and Christian cavalry we have here now "Christian" Infantry to fight the Turks. Of course they can fight each other from 1680 to 1700 too (Boyne, 9-years-war, Great nothern war....)
These guys are now armed with the flintlock as we already have some figures with the matchlock already in the shop.
So, I think next we will go for some Turks as beside Janniesaries we don't have any on the market.

Next steps in our Poitiers diorama
I took the last two weeks to search my painted figures out of the collection and started glueing them on my usual bases.
At least I found around 1000 figures, but I fear I can't use them all.
Hm, looks not as much...
How deep should I arrange the French knights? Several rows in the upper photo, just 4-5 rows in the second looks not so impressing.
The 300 English knights who attacked their flanks are not the problem.
When the archers ran out of arrows, they attacked the French line too. Not to forget the 1000 Welsh spearmen on the English side.
The archers I arranged in six rows of 30 figures each. At least here I have 200 done.
I thought on one flank the archers are still firing, when on the other they started charging the French.
At least some nice command figures for the English are ready too.
But there is still a long way to go to fill the complete plate...
