More 1870 Franco-Prussian war conversions from Alfred

There are several posts for this campaign on this blog, check the labels when you are interested in the project.

Alfred's and Roland's conversions are really speechless. The ideas which figures to use are surprising me ever and ever again. You might say an Airfix Prussian Landwehr-Soldier's coat might be too long for 1870. But when you see the figures in groups together on a plate there is nothing more lifely than their arrangements of units.

One day I hope for the finished diorama.

Roman village from the figure fair in Kulmbach August 2015

At Kulmbach I had just the mobil-phone from my job with me. Not the best quality of photos.

But I liked this Roman village and thought the photos have to be shown. Maybe some other hobbyfriends who visited the fair can offer better photos?

In addition this flat figure diorama - The entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. Just right before easter... I liked the buildings. That is something we have on our list to create in 1/72 in the future production.

And just for fun  - our own stand at Kulmbach. Looks much more professional since we started two years ago, eh? :-)

A raid in the FIW

Here another of Thompsomsfeld great AWI and FIW dioramas.  A very little one. The first the details and afterwards the "making of"

And hier just the photo of some conversions in this diorama. I am wondering if he ever took a figure from the box....

Romans vs Celts

Last year I came over this diorama here, can't remember if I got the link from my friend Thomas Mischak or found it on Benno's forum.

A group of French hobbyfriends created this absolute superb diorama.

Not just the diorama itself, but the photographies are very impressing in my eyes. To make the photos with sunlight in the open looks much much better than what we get when having our dioramas standing in a hall with neonlight etc.
