The next set for our project "1848-1878" is the third set of Radetzy's army in Italy 1848.
The plan is to cover the complete Austrian army of 1848 which we can use against Italians and Hungarians in 1849.
Here we now have a set of 12 Austrian Jäger. The next will be Austrian artillery and afterwards Austrian Grenzer/Hungarian Infantry.
The infantry sets will be made by Ingo while Massimo will cover the cavalry units.
Here now the masters:
Sadly the second rank is difficult to see, but I will put photos of the castings on the blog ASAP.
We are a group of Enthusiasts from all over the world, mostly Germany, who create historical battles in scale 1:72. As we do this since more than 10 years we thought it is time for our own blog. Being a historical enthusiast I wanted to fulfill my dream of producing my own figures in this scale too. So I started working with several sculptors to produce exotic figures in 1:72 which I fear nobody else would bring on the market.

Ottoman Napoleonic army
Andy sent me the first castings from Leonids Russian cavalry in Potemkin uniform 1786-1796.
This is one of my favorite uniforms, very modern for this time.
So I started to paint these figures as Carabiniers which I want to show here soon.
I already painted some Infantry units of them too.
Now I searched for enemies and the war I had in mind is the Russo-Turkish war of 1787-92. Austrians and Russian fighting the Ottomans.
Take a look at Wikipedia
There are a lot of articles about this war in German in the Österreichische Militärische Zeitung (ÖMZ) available for free on Google books.
Revoultionary French and Potemkin Russians against my own Napoleonic Ottoman army, a colorful subject. So I started painting my Ottomans too. Here for example some photos of the Janisarries.
You see from the flowers that I made them some month ago:-)
So when Ulundi is done I will concentrate on this subject

Some photos on the 1870 project
Here I have a few photos from French and Prussian material Massimo worked on.
As some of you may have heard, Massimo made a big range of a French army at Solferino. Most of these figures can be used for the Franco-Prussian war too.
These figures will be available soon
These heads are from our own range. Separate versions for conversions. For example to convert a Prussian into a Württemberg infantrymen. etc.
And in addition to this my friend Old John from the UK offers figures from the old Minifigs S-Range which have the same size as Massimo's figures. I got a special figure which I converted into an Hussar of Maximilians Austrian legion in Mexico. I asked John for some more conversions and got some info on seperate units. There will be figures available for the Belgian legion and others. Here just a few photos I got

More Prussians 1864-1871
Here the next set made by Massimo for our 1848-78 range.
These guys are very useful for charging the Austrians at Königgrätz in 1866 or any French position in the summer of 1870.
I hope you enjoy them.
When the infantry is done (one set will follow) I thought about Prussian Cuirassiers for the deathride of Bredow's brigade at Mars la Tour.

28mm AWI from Ingo
28mm is not my cup of tea as for my diorama projects in my eyes 1/72 is the best scale. And the figures are cheaper...
My friend Ingo sculpted some nice 28mm figures in the past. Now he sent me these photos of a landing party in the AWI.
He will offer these figure for sale on the Dioramica in five weeks. I thought you might be interested in the subject.

Napoleonic Bavarian Staff
I have so many photos of new sets that I can't put them all on the blog.
These two sets of Bavarian Staff figures I already put in the shop a week ago.
General, Staff officer and Feldjäger (1809)
And just for fun a few plates on the Feldjäger as this is more difficult to find:
Finally two mounted officers of the infantry
