The 1808 Spanish artillery is available now

In the meantime I got my own sample set of the Spanish artillery. Another step to a complete army for 1808-1809. The bigger challenge will the army from 1810 onwards.

This is the first set of Spanish horse artillery as far as I know. So I think, you need it for a Spanish peninsular army:-) I will start painting mine next weekend.

Museum Höchstätt Castle

In 2004 my friend John came over from Wales and we visited the 200th aniversary of the battle of Blenheim.

In this year the museum at Höchstätt started a permanent exhibition on the battle. I would suggest you, to visit this exhibition, if your are interested in the war of the Spanish succession. A link to the museums homepage is here.

I remember when they opened, they also had a huge collection of figures on display. The house was crammed with visitors in 2004. Two years later I visited the castle again and this time, I nearly had it for myself.

The Red Cross

To finish the Solferino project, Massimo's last set is the establishment of the Red Cross.

This is a very interesting set in my eyes, not only useful for 1859.

British Dragoons 1745

Last week I've got a parcel from Massimo. He sent his latest figures, which included a set of British dragoons for the 1745 uprising.

These guys are searching for Jacobites after the battle of Culloden. I suggested to change the poses a little bit to make them useful for Fontenoy or Dettingen:-)

As usual, with Massimo's boxes comes a "uniformplate".

Tannenberg 1410

Darek sent me some photos of a Tatar cavalryman and a German order Sergeant, which I wanted to share with you. These days he is working on a Palmyrian army, which will be in our shop afterwards.
