... and I recognised, I painted too much figures for it. This diorama is 4 x1,7 meters and you need empty space to show the movement. So here we see somewhere between 1300 and 1600 figures on display.
The Chilenians try to turn the left flank of the Peruvians and Bolivians. The Bolivian regiment Sucre (yellow uniforms) refused to retreat - the result was 75% casualties in this unit. And casualty means dead as the took no prisoners in the war.
Beside around 100 old ACW plastics, which I painted in the past, all the other are 3D-printed figures. Groundwork was very easy as in the Atacama dessert (at least in this part) grows nothing....
