After a longer time, our hobbyfriend Stefan Meyer found back to the greatest hobby on earth and created a new diorama:-)
I was impressed to see the first bigger one on this subject of the Great Ottoman war
We are a group of Enthusiasts from all over the world, mostly Germany, who create historical battles in scale 1:72. As we do this since more than 10 years we thought it is time for our own blog. Being a historical enthusiast I wanted to fulfill my dream of producing my own figures in this scale too. So I started working with several sculptors to produce exotic figures in 1:72 which I fear nobody else would bring on the market.

Now as I have finished the Roman project, I am looking for new ideas. the next project is Korbitz, about which I have already posted some photos.
Another smaller project I have in mind in the battle of the Schellenberg 1704 as a prelude to the battle of Blenheim.
I hope for Strelets and their Bavarian infantry. In their meantime, I have painted Les Higgins metals and thought about simply converting some other figures into Bavarians.
A special unit, I wasn't able to convert are the mounted Grenadiers. Here I have asked Darek to sculpt me some.
This is the result
My Hobbyfriend Jim found these great photos of a 15mm diorama. Not my scale, but for sure my cup of tea!
Look at Wikipedia to get more information on it. Thanks for Google translator:-)
As painting Celts, Romans and SYW figures for month, I already thought about the next project I could take on. I decided for the battle at the Schellenberg 1704.
With this fast growing range from Strelets I am sure to create some good units. For the defence of the Schellenberg, I need mainly Bavarians (who wonders) and wait for the new Strelets set now.
On the other hand, you can never have enought poses and Darek asked me about Uniformplates for the Bavarian mounted Grenadiers.
I thought he did a great job and already ordered a unit of 10 waiting/dismounted poses, which could be useful for my project.
And as I know my mate John, I am sure that other people would think the same:-)
