New book about the Polish infantry in the Napoleonic wars

This morning the postman brought me these two long awaited books:

These is the last from a series on which the authors and painter worked for several years now.
in my eyes the best that is available on the Polish armies of the Napoleonic period!

Searching through the pages I understand now the sometimes chaotic uniform-changes of the Polish infantry.
In this series there are other books like cavalry, artillery, the Vistula legion etc. etc.

They are not cheap but I think quality has to have its price. On the other hand there are over 100 A4-size
uniformplates, covering every infantry unit of the Duchy of Warsaw.

You can buy them in Polish shops for some less money then in Germany and the UK.
For example here. The price for the two books here is around 90 Euros (375 Zloty).

I thought to share this with you just in case you need some good painting-guides for this lesser known Napoleonic army which saw fighting in 1809, 1812 and 1813 besides the  three regiments serving in Spain.

  1. ne ho uno della serie dedicato alla cavalleria, ben fatto e belle tavole, peccato che la lingua polacca sia ostica per me. Grazie della segnalazione.

  2. If you are looking also other interesting books about military, it is seen in the Polish bookstore: http://polskaksiegarniainternetowa.eu/ Delivery to the EU is very cheap and fast. You can also pay via paypal, and prices of books are attractive. Often as I buy and never had a problem with delivery.
