We are a group of Enthusiasts from all over the world, mostly Germany, who create historical battles in scale 1:72. As we do this since more than 10 years we thought it is time for our own blog. Being a historical enthusiast I wanted to fulfill my dream of producing my own figures in this scale too. So I started working with several sculptors to produce exotic figures in 1:72 which I fear nobody else would bring on the market.

Bunker Hill closeups
And here some more stuff. What I liked on this diorama was to have the British lines arranged.
The American Trench was very easy to buildt. Schmitty simply took some polyuretan and sprayed it down on the drawing we made on the plate. Afterwards we put half a ton white glue over it and afterwards overshowered it with coffee. An hour later everything was dry and we had the Trenches. Real work 12 minutes...

Bunker Hil
Well, I guess it is time for another one of our dioramas. This we did in 2005, Bunker Hill! Not very big by our standards, just 2000 figures or so:-))
We created the battle in scale 1:1, no more men were present. The difficulty was to get all this standing British infantry figures. Interesting in creating a diorama is to try the correct position of the units. All the maps I read show the British attack in line with three batallions side by side. Sometimes the maps show them in "U"-formation. This is not possible. We scaled the American "Trench" down to 1/72. Then we organised the batallions in line, two deep as the sources suggest. You can't simple attack with the batallions beside each other because of lack of space. So we put them one after another.
This diorama shows the third attack. The reason behind is that we wanted to have more tricorne figures and less Grenadiers because of the available poses. And most of the Grenadiers were killed our wounded in the first two attacks.
Ok here are the first photos. More with details will follow soon.

Roman Castle
And here for the ancient fans between us are photos from a flat figure diorama. These buildings would be useful for 1/72 too. Looks really great!
