We are a group of Enthusiasts from all over the world, mostly Germany, who create historical battles in scale 1:72.
As we do this since more than 10 years we thought it is time for our own blog.
Being a historical enthusiast I wanted to fulfill my dream of producing my own figures in this scale too. So I started working with several sculptors to produce exotic figures in 1:72 which I fear nobody else would bring on the market.
As our hobbyfriend Thomas already showed these figures in several forums and people asking me, if they are available from us, here the latest set of Blackwatch miniatures. Of course sculpted by Massimo.
It will be available soon - when I have succeded to open the shop:-)
Since two years I am digitalising my uniform-archive. This gives me more space for figures.
Last week I worked through my Mexican infantry files. There I found photos from Alfred's old Alamo-Diorama. I don't know, why I had figure photos mixed in the uniformplates. On the other hand, this gives me material for a new post:-)
I guess these photos are over 30 years old now. The good old times, when we had to convert the figures we needed.
In the beginning from Massimo himself and hopefully within the next two weeks from your new shop Blackwatch. I can tell you, for a 50 years old these technical things are a real challenge....
After all these Prussian Generals Holger finally wanted their Austrian counterpart. I hope, more will come to get some ballance on my SYW Collection.
On the other hand, Holgers latest idea have been Prussian Hussars in bearskins. Also some interesting stuff and useful as Austrians and Russians too:-)
As I have painted several Conquistatores and Atzteks over the last month, I thought there might be some other interesting subject, where I could use at least the Spaniards.
My first thought was the battle of Pavia 1525. Interesting, but I would need to have many Landsknechts - and this is a challenge.
Then it came into my mind, that I have a movie in my collection, which brought me new ideas. The original title is "Non, ou a Vã Glória de Mandar" from 1990. I have a very bad VHS-Version in German language "Non oder Der vergängliche Ruhm der Herrschaft".
These helmets are very robust😁
The movie covers beside other things the battle of the Three Kings. Before I write much about it, check what other wrote on the subject. On of my favourite Blogs Weapons and warfare and another from a Fantasy wargame club. At least the latter has some nice photos with nice figures. Ok, we are talking about Portuguese, but they don't look much different to the Spaniards.
Wikipedia has of course it's own link on the subject too. Through this I came to the link of another movie on the subject. Does anybody know, where to get this VHS? I guess it was never able as DVD.
But now here some photos of figures
So I think, I have some use for HAT's El Cid Moorish warriors and Esci Muslims. Also some left over 30YW figures from our Rocroi diorama.
