Bavarian infantry in the SYW

 It seems, everybody wants to beat Bavarians these days. After Massimos charge of Turkos at Fröschwiler, now Holger asked for figures, according to this picture. It shows the 2nd Prussian Ziethen Hussars to charage and Bavarian and Wurttemberg infantry at the battle of Leuthen.

The only difference we will make is to give the Hussars their "summer" uniform with hanging pelisse. 

So far, Leonid finished the infantry. We already have Grenadiers which we could paint as Bavarians, so here now Fusiliers. 

I am sure, I could paint them as Prussians for Korbitz too:-)

Some scans from an old Fuhrmann-Catalogue - the metal figures, which were available in the 90ies

 ... at least in Germany. Beside Kai, we only had "Eagles Nest" who offered Hinton-Hunt and Qualitycast figures. No other stuff available here. 

Here some scans, I made of old, cheap catalogues. They themselves were simply figures, put on a scanner:-)

The most interesting page:-) In these days, I made my first tries to convert figures and cast them in metal. As there were not really many figures on the market, I even sold some of them through Kai:-))

This year our hobbyfriend Wolfgang Hartung lost his fight against cancer. In Memoriam Wolfgang we want to show one of his old dioramas, showing the most important story in our history.

 Massimo sent me these photos from one of his mates. Nice little vignettes. I am wondering, if we put many such cubes together, we can have a proper diorama in the end :-) 

14th Brooklin from Massimo

Years ago we talked about the 14th Brooklin. Massimo told me then, he wanted to produce it, as he has a range for the battle of Bull Run (of 1st Manasses as most of my friends call it).

After his Virginia infantry, this is now the second set. More will follow soon.
