The marching Austrians are the latest set from Massimo for the Solferino Project. The diorama will be on show in November at the 3rd Dioramica.
The French would be useful for fighting the Russians at the Crimea and the Germans in 1870.
We are a group of Enthusiasts from all over the world, mostly Germany, who create historical battles in scale 1:72. As we do this since more than 10 years we thought it is time for our own blog. Being a historical enthusiast I wanted to fulfill my dream of producing my own figures in this scale too. So I started working with several sculptors to produce exotic figures in 1:72 which I fear nobody else would bring on the market.

How a backround can bring life to a diorama
I still have many photos from Thomsonfeld in my collection. It is really a pity, that he stopped painting figures.
He had very good ideas, how to bring little sceneries into life, just with a photo of the backround.
See here some options from British light Dragoons in the AWI, bringing in supplies.
And from another view
And finally a close up of the figures

Solferino 1859
When I visited Patrick in November last year, I was speechless to see the buildings of his latest diorama project. Especially the Church is very impressing.
I have visited the battlefield of Solferino two times in the past and I must say, his diorama shows the good eye he has on details.
See here some photos of the diorama
All the figures of this project are sculpted by Massimo Costa. And if you want to see more about the project, enjoy 21 pages (actually) of photos and discussions on his forum

American settlers 1/72
Another new set from Frank are these American settlers. I would say woodworking farmers are useful for other periods and continents too. These are thought for the FIW.
Very soon in our shop. You see, after a longer pause it is going forward with new stuff.

She wore a yellow Ribbon - in German Der Teufelshauptmann
I am sure most of you know this cavalry western with John Wayne.
Our Hobbyfriend Egbert had this movie in mind when he thought about a diorama. And Frank changed his usually work from Ancient to Napoleonics into the Wild West
A nice little szene which will be available in our shop very soon:-)
