And again more Ming Chinese

After all the "modern" figures, here again some more Chinese from Thomas' range.

I guess some of you may have missed these guys:-)

And I am still wondering how much are in the pipeline...

The war in Korea 1592-1598 goes on

Thomas sent me a bunch of photos and Andy added the castings of two of them.

So in the never ending story of a Ming army defending Korea against a Japanese invasion, here we have the next three sets.

More Ming Generals (I am wondering when ordinary cavalry comes).

Ming Musketeers (I like them, nice uniform)

And to have some more enemies a set of Japanese train or support troop

The Chinese were sculpted by Leo from Phersu Miniatures. In the Japanese you might recognize Massimo's style.

For those of you interested in the range, take a look here

and more Ming generals

The never ending story - What Thomas makes, he makes complete!

I already showed photos of Ming Generals on the blog. Now he sent me photos of more of them....

But to be honest - they are very nice figures and to paint them would be a challenge. So I could live with more of them:-)

Some more Mings between

Thomas with his never-ending range of Ming China sent me the next photos.

This time we have Ming Generals on horse.

At least the first riders, maybe some cavalry will follow up:-)

Some more Ming Chinese

Sometimes when I get new photos from Leo or Thomas I think "Why again these guys"...

On the other hand I admire Thomas for his zeal to cover the whole Ming army of the late 16th century.

This time we have Ming Imperial Guard infantry. These were campaign troops fighting the Japanese in Korea, while the other Guards I showed before are the Emperors own, guarding the palace or joining the Emperor when he himself was on campaign.

So let's call these guys here the Young Guard:-)

I like the poses.

The Ming Emperors bodyguard

Thomas with his never ending range of the Samurai invasion of Korea sent photos of the latest master Phersu sculpted for him.

This time we have the bodyguard of the Emperor. Thomas told me they also fought in the campaign against the Japanese invaders.

When Thomas started with the subject I thought to get 10-20 masters and nobody would be interested in the range. Now we have far more than 100 different figures and this made it popular with collectors. Japanese to fight something different than other Japanese.

And as I know Thomas it will go on this way...

Seeing these guys I remember some old Garrison Chinese in my collection which have nearly the same headgear.
