The Etruscian temple from Stephan Berry

In the meantime Stephan finished another ancient masterpiece.

I think the early Italian - or Roman - history is still not really covered in 1:72. So I liked it to get this little gem to show it here

Cröbern 1813 - part of the battle of Leipzig

The historians between you surely recognised that last week was the 200th aniversary of the battle of nations in Leipzig.

There was a big show with around 6000 reenactors etc. and on the last weekend the official battle.

Beside this there were special exhibitions in the museums. One of them is a really breathtaking dioram from Wolfgang Meyer and his friends.

The photos which follow here are from Andy Brune with the permission of Wolfgang Meyer.
Wolfgang has his own homepage at http://www.croebern-1813.de/40199/41551.html. There you can see the making of and much more photos.

In my eyes the best diorama I have ever seen in this scale - and for sure the most expensive as it was made completely of Art-Miniaturen figures - and all of them originals:-)

For those of you who like the figures they see, they are all for sale at the Art-Miniaturen shop.

This here is the most shocking....

The masters for San Juan Hill are ready

Massimo sent me this photos today which means that within 10 day we will have the figures and then we will put them in the mould ASAP.

Oh I like this subject so much, can't wait to start to work on a diorama. In the past I painted Airfix Anzacs and Marines to Yankees and ACW confederates into Spanish. Now there are some proper guys to paint.

For those of you interested in the campaign and who don't have sources in the library there are two good
books which offer plates and an overview of the campaign

Brassey''s Spanish-American war

Of course an Osprey

for the battle itself - the Osprey Campaign

And here are the photos of the masters.

And so should it look like :-))

Battle of Hanau 1813

My two friends Rainer and Dirk made two dioramas for the special exhibition of the 200th aniversary of the battle of Hanau on the 30/31th October 1813 in the local museum.
First two lines of French and Austrian infantry, the latter supported by Bavarian Landwehr

The next after the battle, French troops fishing out Bavarian deads of the river Kinzig

A little bit "unusual", but an interesting subject.

And here they come charging up San Juan Hill

My good friend Massimo is in his element again. Here are the first photos of the charging Rough-Riders and cavalry up the hill.

More US troops firing and Spanish defenders will follow soon.

I guess you recognise Teddy as the third from the left?

More about the production you can see on Benno's forum where we had the luck to get our own subforum.
Take a look there, we explain the idea of the own production there.

An offer for every one of you who wants to have his own figures made.

cheers
uwe

We are starting on a new subject - Cuba 1898

The Spanisch-American war is a dream of mine since I have seen the movie "Rough Riders" years ago.

Now with the idea of Hagen-Miniatures to make our own figures a good friend from Spain told me that he would like to go into the production of figures too. We decided to start with a range for San Juan Hill and El Caney.

I asked Massimo and he liked the idea too. So here we start with again another campaign.

Reinforcements to Deutsch Südafrika

Massimo is back from his holidays and already started to make us some more Schutztruppen for the Herero uprising. See here the start on two Officer poses and on the right are no Zulus but Herero women with their special headgear to bring water and ammunition to their men while being in the fight.

They have a really special headgear
