Defence of Hochkirch

This morning I got the photo from Rüdiger who painted his own Hochkirch-Diorama.

I still have the set at home lying around and haven't had the time to take on the challenge to make it myself.

To round up the firing line which I showed some days ago here we have an officer and the missing pose of making ready to fire. So now, let them come to receive a volley:-)

New medieval figures from Frank Ziegler

Frank sent these photos over - his latest figures which we hopefully have casted within the next weeks.

So here is a complete Gewalthaufen for the late 15th century in addition to the already existing range.

The next set from Hagen - Austrian infantry 1809

Our hobbyfriend Andre joint our group and asked for his first set of Austrian infantry in a firing line for his 1809 Wagram diorama project.

I am happy for these guys as they are a good addition to my own 1809 Aspern diorama.

Andre, if you read this please sent me a mail. We got a new PC-System at work and I lost all my private email-contacts with it :-(

We are trying animals

Our hobbyfriend Robert (his own blog at www.riflesandmuskets.blogspot.com) from Enfilade Figures (check his modern army figures too) started to sculpt an oxen for us.

I know it is a challenge for a lot of sculpters to make animals. See here his first try.

We would like to hear your opinion about it.

This is the European version, later I wanted to have some for India as I want to have a complete Indian artilleryteam for my Wellington in India range.

And who knows what comes next. Mules, even Lamas for the Inka warriors etc. etc.

The attack on La Haye Sainte

Our Hobbyfriend Frank Herberger sent me these photos of his diorama on which he is working since 2009.

It shows the last and succesful attack of the French on the buildings at 6 pm in the evening.
I hope you enjoy the photos as I did.

A very impressing building and landscape in my eyes. And a good mix of plastics and metals to make it lively.

Sometimes I have put some photos from Thomas Mischak's Waterloo diorama on the blog too. As it always were just details of it and I have seen the original diorama several years ago I asked him for a photo of the whole diorama if possible just to imagine the size of it.
