Again flats - This time Borodino

 A week ago, I had the chance to have a short holiday in Dresden with friends. We visited the museum of the Bundeswehr, the Fortress Königstein and the "Karl May" Museum with an interesting museum about Native American people.

On show in the Museum of the Bundeswehr was this Diorama of Borodino. Very good made!

Norbert Richem sent me the latest photos of his Borodino project which I want to share with you. Showing dioramas always is fun for me.

And I like Norbert's style of educating people, explaining the battle and showing how he made it. 

And as it fits to the subject, here two photos I got from "Foy" (see my blog-list). He painted several units of Hinton-Hunt Bavarian infantry. You see Raimund's Bavarians from Falcon working very good with them.

Borodino - Diorama and figures

Our hobbyfriend Norbert Richem sent me these photos of his 1/72 wargame/diorama of Borodino.
I am really impressed how many projects for this battle I have seen in the last month.

So I guess JJ's idea of having ordered the Saxon GDC to make will be interesting for some other collectors too.

Another subject to fit to this battle comes from our hobbyfriend Francis Long. He asked for some Russian Trainriders in different poses he wants to use for a huge Leipzig wargame.
Massimo made these for him - within four weeks in our shop.

So the 1812 range is growing:-)

Time for new Napoleonics - Borodino

Six years ago we worked on the charge of the Saxon cavalry at borodino. Photos from the diorama you can see here.

Now a collectors friend asked us to produce the Saxon Garde Du Corps to have a proper partner for the Zvzda Zastrow Cuirassiers. At the diorama we used the old Strelets and converted Zastrows or 1806 Italeri Prussians.

But now Massimo sculpted a complete new set of them. Looks like we have to make a revival of this diorama in 2022:-)
