A simple mix of figures I found interesting

Tel El Kebir (ok not the house). This is something I want to make in 1/72. Hopefully HAT will round up their range for the Sudan with these Egyptians.

When I have it right in mind, this Leuthen diorama was with 40mm figures

These sets were interesting for me as collector of 1/72 figure. They are old Heyde figures, from their 20mm range. Not flats, especially the cavalry. Of course it is just nostalgic thinking, but they have great units. A set is at around 100 Euro each.

More from Kulmbach - First Ancient figures

At the second day of the fair I went through the tent and made photos of the figures I liked. There was some very nice stuff in flat figures as well as a contest of the best figure and diorama.
And afterwards I climbed the hill up to the castle to visit the museum there too. Here are the photos now I made from ancient figures.

I liked to see armoured Egyptians.

1:72 Germans from Germania - very nice figures and historical more correct than all the naked plastics which are on the market. All these sculptors should experience the German weather in Autumn...

Back from the figure-fair in Kulmbach

This afternoon I came back from one of my favourite figure fairs. The international tinfigure-fair in Kulmbach which is just every second year.

We had our own stand there and I can say that it was a success. Not the number of sold figures (ok, not too bad), but all the contacts we made, the people we talked to and spread our idea for the shop (from collector for collectors). A lot of people told us that they like the idea and that they want to send their own conversions for casting. Even a friend asked me if I would be interested in his 28mm SYW Austrians. Why not, the shop should be for everything.

But enough of the shop. After a while we started converting and painting figures which made the people stop to see the work and we had again some nice talkings.

And me after I spent all my money and had to work to pull the visitors to me in the hope that they buy something to give me more money which I wanted to spend there:-))

We met a lot of friends there like Kai Fuhrmann who had the other stand for 1/72 at the floor

And here Michael Cremerius (left) who had the third stand for 1/72 together with our friend Massimo. I think they laugh because Michael already got the 1870 French infantry which Massimo already put on Benno's forum while Massimo laughs because I decided to buy his complete Charge of the light Brigade from him...
