Bunker Hill diorama from the battlefield

Yesterday my friend Jim from the US visited the Battlefield and Museum at Bunker Hill.
At the museum they have a small nice diorama of which Jim sent these two photos here

Nice ones but in the wrong scale:-) Here see again our own diorama in 1:72 which we put on display around
10 years ago.

Rüdiger Fischer made a great diorama with his SYW Prussian Pioneers

When Andy put this little gem at our stand for display in Kulmbach I was speechless. Such I think I have never seen before in 1:72. The next was, that I put the whole set of Rüdigers figures in my own bag:-))

See here what I mean. Maybe not only useful for the SYW but with a little conversion for other 18th and 19th century sieges.

Sorry for the very bad photos, I hope to have better ones soon.

For those of you who want to add some more technical aspects in their SYW collection these figures are available at Hagen-miniatures

I have seen another interesting manufactor, Matthias Manske who had them also new at Kulmbach. But these figures here are some 45-50 mm figures from a manufactor who started to make figures in the size of the old Nürnberger Meisterzinn moulds I had in my childhhood. If you are interested in these figures here is his homepage.  A nice range, but too big for me. It shows another possibility for using the sappers

More from Kulmbach - This time the siege of Kulmbach in the 16th century with flats

One of the highlights in the Plassenburg museum at Kulmbach is a diorma of the siege of Kulmbach itself in the 16th century. They say this is Europe's biggest figure diorama. Well, I think I have made bigger ones in my past, but these flats here are difficult to count:-))

Another teaser for me to go into the 16th century. If not these lansquenets would be so difficult to paint....

The evening after the battle

Thanks to Thomas Mischak who sent this photo from an old diorama by Klaus Hinderks over.

You know I like dead and wounded for my dioramas, sad but realistic.

A challenge for our Rocroi Diorama - The battle of the Lohner Bruch in the 30YW

I have heard from this project some years ago. Imagine you can paint figures as a school-class....

This diorama is a really great one, take a look at this newspaper article and maybe you have the chance to
visit this museum.

So far I found this photos here:

WW1 Figures from Massimo

You know what a great and fast sculptor Massimo is. Beside working for Germany, making here great stuff and our own production, he also sculpts figures for collectors.

So everybody who would like him to sculpt figures for your collection, simply send him a mail. On in case you wanted such figures in bigger numbers let us know and we can arrange things.

Here are some photos I asked Massimo for. A collection of WW1 dioramas he made for a hobbyfriend from Belgium.

Puh, terrible Belgian lancers attacking our picklehaubes

And another Belgian hero with a wounded or dead German.

the whole thing the other way

This would be a useful vignette for casting in all periods!
